Green blown glass bud vase

This attractive green glass bud vase has the shape of a tall, slim hurricane lamp. It stands 10" high with diameters of 1" at the mouth, 2-1/2" at its widest point, and 2-5/8" at its base. The 6" tall vase portion is blown glass, and the 4" stem is gracefully swirled. Unmarked and in perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. (Click on picture for more images.) Tall turquoise swirl glass bottle

This tall mold blown swirl glass bottle is an absolutely gorgeous deep, deep turquoise blue color, with very little green. It stands 15-1/2" tall with diameters of 1-1/2" at its mouth, 4-3/4" at its widest point, and 3-3/8" at its unmarked base. When displayed in front of a window, the gracefully curved swirls produce a sparkling quilted diamond effect. Wonderful air bubbles galore. Near perfect condition with no nicks, chips, or cracks, but there are a couple of vertical scratches and some manufacturing flaws consisting of horizontal rippling that can be felt but are difficult to see because of the glass pattern unless the angle of the light is just right. Celebrations lead crystal Sweet Heart bowl

This is a beautiful 4" tall 24% lead crystal “Sweet Heart” bowl that features eight scalloped panels, each containing a raised and mitered heart. Encircling the lower portion of the bowl are eight mitered geometric designs, one below each panel. The bottom contains a 16-point mitered star. Glass is a full 1/4" thick and sparkles in the light. 5-1/2" in diameter at its scalloped top and 3" in diameter at its base. Carries two original paper stickers. The one on the side is a double circle, the center of which depicts a piece of stemware with the words “Crystal Clear” underneath. The outer circle says “Made in U.S.A.” and “24% Lead Crystal”. The sticker on the bottom indicates that this bowl might have been intended as a candle bowl because it contains a warning (in both English and French) that says “Never leave a burning candle unattended. Do not burn candle to bottom. Trim wick before each use.” I seriously doubt that anyone has ever used this bowl at all, let alone for holding a burning candle! It’s in perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. It’s still in its original box which calls it a Celebrations “Sweet Heart” bowl distributed by Crystal Clear Industries in New York. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Enormous glass block

This old behemoth is an 11-5/8" x 11-5/8" x 3-1/4" deep glass block that is extremely heavy. The thick clear glass has a slightly greenish cast to it, and the interior front and back surfaces are sculptured, producing ever-changing patterns as you look through the glass from various angles. Mouth measures 9-3/4" x 2-1/8". Would make one heck of a vase or fill it with colored sand and/or seashells to create your own special seascape. But why stop with inanimate things? This glass block is large enough to be used as an aquarium for a few small fish! Perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Pattern glass vase

I’m not sure if this pretty little 5-1/2" tall vessel is actually a vase or might originally have been a small wine carafe. It’s marked F.T.D.A. on the bottom and also carries the number 1. Decorated with two sweeping convex arches front and back that intersect on the sides. Diameters are 2-3/4" at the flared mouth, 3-1/2" at widest point, and 2-3/8" at the bottom. Near perfect condition, with no cracks, chips, or scratches, and only one tiny fleabite at the exterior mouth rim. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Heavy ribbed votive

This little votive with an exterior featuring eight deep vertical ribs is amazingly heavy for its diminutive size. It’s just a shade over 2-1/2" high x 2-1/2" in diameter at its widest point, and 1-5/8" in diameter at its mouth. The glass is very thick and has a textured feel, particularly on the exterior. Unmarked and in perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Crystal tulip vase

The shape of this 6" tall crystal vase reminds me of a tulip. It is unmarked, but might be an example of Duncan Miller’s ladders & diamond pattern. Whoever made it, it is quite graceful and attractive with its 6-petal ruffled 2-1/4" diameter rim. Base diameter is 3". Perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. Amber art glass swirl pattern decanter

This large vintage amber art glass decanter has both an interesting shape and an interesting pattern. It stands 9" high without stopper and measures 6-1/2" across when viewed from the front, but less than 2-1/4" across when viewed from the side. The circular mouth has an outside diameter of 1-1/2" and the oval base measures not quite 2" x not quite 4". The pattern is wavy, giving the impression of leaping flames, especially when the stopper, which itself looks like a flame tip, is in place. The piece stands 14" high when stoppered, and would be taller had the tip of the stopper not been sheared off in a long ago accident that also produced a long curved hairline crack on both the front and back of the decanter right below the neck. No other damage, but plenty of air bubbles in the glass. Still makes an impressive display piece. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Enormous hand blown blue glass bottle

Wow! What a bottle! If you like ’em huge and you like ’em blue, this one’s for you! This amazing hand blown dark blue bottle stands 12-1/2" tall with diameters of 1-1/2" at its mouth, 8" (no kidding!) at its widest point, and 4-1/2" at its unmarked base which features a concave center and rough pontil. The thick mouth rim is taller on one side than the other and tilted at the top. The neck is ribbed, with the ribs extending several inches down into the body of the bottle, creating a collar effect. Various sized bubbles are everywhere in the glass, producing an almost crackle glass appearance. Quite light weight for its size, and the glass is thin enough that one of the large bubbles popped right through to the exterior, making it feel like a chip, but it certainly isn’t. There is, however, what appears to be a long wavy hairline crack running diagonally down from one of the other bubbles that can, at places, be felt with a fingernail. It must not go all the way through because this bottle has obviously been used as a vase at some point in the past and has some interior water scaling at the bottom. Otherwise perfect condition.
