Corning Ware Patterns

Everyone is familiar with Corning Ware’s Cornflower Blue and Spice of Life patterns because we all grew up seeing these iconic pieces in our mothers’ and grandmothers’ kitchens. But Corning Ware produced a number of additional patterns that people are less familiar with. Here, in alphabetical order, are the patterns for which I’ve found photos. All of these patterns were produced while Corning Ware was still Corning Ware and before it was spun off as World Kitchens in 1998.

A site visitor by the name of Priscilla got this Corning Ware percolator at an estate sale and asked if I could identify the neat “genie lamp” pattern. Nope -- that’s a new one on me! Anybody know the name of this pattern and approximately when CW produced it? If so, please email me and both Priscilla and I will be very grateful!

Mike in Australia sent me this picture of his coffee pot. The pattern is similar to Floral Bouquet, but different enough that I don’t know whether it’s a third Floral Bouquet design variation or a completely different pattern. Anybody know the official name of this pattern and approximately when CW produced it? If so, please email me and both Mike and I will be very grateful!

Sally sent me this picture of her coffee pot. I finally identified the pattern as American Autumn. Be sure and read our email exchange to find out more about this pattern and the three others introduced at the same time!

Mitzi sent me this picture of her casserole that says “Season’s Greetings 1960.” Be sure to read our email exchange to see the 1963 pattern I discovered. We’re now on the hunt for any additional years, so if you have one, or if you have any information about the time frame during which Corning Ware produced this “Season’s Greetings” line, please email me.

Jesus asked if I could identify this pattern, but beat me in discovering that it’s name is Autumn Meadow! Be sure to read our email exchange. (He’s one dedicated & determined guy!)

Sharon asked if I could identify this pattern, but so far no luck. Be sure to read our email exchange -- and if you know the name of this pattern, please email me.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this walk down Corning Ware memory lane. To date I have been unable to find pictures of the following Corning Ware patterns:

Blue Violet - 1997-1998*
French Bleu - ???
Orchid Rose - 1992-1994

*This is a photo of Corelle’s Country Violets pattern, but this pattern seems to have been introduced in 1986. I’m not convinced that Country Violets is the same pattern as Blue Violet, which my research shows was produced from 1997-1998.

If you happen to be the proud owner of any Corning Ware pieces decorated in any of these exceedingly rare designs, please email me with photos. Likewise if you know the answer to the Blue Violet / Country Violets controversy. I’ll be forever grateful!

The Corning Ware discussion got so voluminous that we turned it into a blog! Lots of fascinating details and tidbits! Click here.
